Samsung Printing Solutions’ Instant Print Program (IPP) is a program designed to help customers enjoy top-level printing hardware – without having to purchase their own devices. Instead of making expensive capital investments, companies are provided with Samsung printers to use, as part of a three-year contract that includes supplies and printer warranty.
Now, with the rollout of IPP 2.0, already launched in Singapore and the Philippines, Samsung is taking its resupply system to the next level. The IPP 2.0 portal can monitor supplies status, and ensure users receive appropriate replacements in a timely manner.
What Is IPP?
The IPP is designed primarily with the needs of small- and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in mind. It offers offices a convenient and affordable method of obtaining printing supplies and printer warranty, along with a free printer on a minimum three-year contract.
This program can free businesses up from considerable overheads, as well as granting constant maintenance and supplies availability. Additionally, it can provide your company with guaranteed, original Samsung supplies. This added efficiency means Samsung products will cost your business less in terms of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) – and produce higher yields.
IPP 2.0 Launch in Singapore and Philippines
Samsung began rolling out IPP 2.0 in Singapore and Philippines on 1 December 2016 and 1 January 2017 respectively. This new version of IPP offers an online management platform called the IPP Portal. With the IPP Portal, it is now easier than ever for Samsung partners to help their customers to manage their printing resources. The portal means your office’s printing supplies automatically get replenished when toners or other consumables run low.
IPP 2.0 also ensures users are issued genuine Samsung toners, so you do not have to worry about non-genuine supplies that may damage your printers, produce poor printouts or even cause health problems to users. All told, this means your staff can stay focused on their work – and not worry about distractions that prevent them from getting things done.
IPP Portal Benefits
It is also worth noting that while other competitors offer toner-subscription programs similar to Samsung’s IPP, Samsung is the only one that provides an online portal solution. Also, as the IPP Portal is hosted online, resellers that replenish supplies and provide maintenance service to your office can easily monitor and manage your printer fleet.
If your reseller uses the Samsung Cloud Print activated version of the portal to manage your fleet, the portal will send alerts when the remaining toner level is 10% or less, allowing the reseller to supply your office with extra toner. The setting can be adjusted for automatic delivery as well, eliminating the need to manage a sizeable toner inventory. The portal also allows resellers to better manage their contracts by providing the contract document and information in a searchable manner. This is useful because you won’t have to call your resellers when your three-year IPP contract is expiring—your reseller will proactively contact you if a contract extension is needed.
The IPP offers a large range of benefits for a wide set of users. With diverse, TCO-effective products and services, the needs of small- and medium-sized business users remain of utmost importance to Samsung.
The IPP provides more convenience and efficiency options for business users – and will be a welcome addition to Samsung’s ever-growing range of printing programs.
